Brink of the World – Petré’s Intervention

In this prequel to the Amentura trilogy, one human, Petre is saved from an excruciating death at the hands of a Startmektoken warrior, by the T’Lea. But as he recuperates and learns more about his mysterious saviours, he realises that his own race could actually be saved from seemingly inevitable and entirely self-inflicted destruction if only he could persuade the T’Lea leader to break one of their oldest and most fundamental laws; to never use their power to interfere in the destiny of another race.

Rather inconveniently, he also falls in love with the timeless beauty of P’Arecerial, the T’Lea princess responsible for saving his life.

In this pacy tale of love, loss, betrayal and moral conflict, we come to understand how the Combined Races of the Ognods, the Grûndén, the Pnook, the T’Lea and the Keepers arrived on Earth, and why.  The creation, function and purpose of the Entity are finally explained, as are the  events that lead to the Grand Master Borhran striking such fear into the Elder Races.

We also learn more about Serinae’s parentage and, of course, there is still that great “Star Ship hidden in the voids…………….”
